There have been far too many fatalities on the water this summer. If you are going swimming, kayaking, fishing, boating, sailing, SUP boarding, diving or any water based activity let someone know where you are going, what you are doing and, how long you will be and most importantly let them know when you return to shore.
If you see someone in difficulty – don’t hesitate call 112 and ask for the Irish Coastguard, tell them where you are and what the problem is. The sooner they are alerted the quicker they can respond. They are the professionals and trained for every eventuality.
Remember a quick reaction from you may save someones life. Always think Safety First.
